Red Hills Property

The Red Hills Property is located 56 kilometres (35 miles) northeast of Ely in White Pine County, Nevada and covers the eastern portion of the Red Hills mining district. Subject to net smelter returns royalties, Columbus Gold controls a 100% interest in the property.

Geology
The property is underlain by northerly striking, generally westerly dipping Cambrian through Ordovician sedimentary rocks which include (from oldest to youngest) the Windfall Formation, Pogonip Group carbonates (Goodwin, Ninemile and Antelope Valley Formations), Eureka Quartzite Hanson Creek and Lone Mountain Dolomites.

Two zones of mineralization have been mapped in the area. In the northern zone silver, gold and base metal mineralization is hosted in Pogonip carbonates, Eureka Quartzite and Hanson Creek/Lone Mountain Dolomites along northerly and easterly trending breccia zones with local bleaching and calc-silicate alteration. Silver is the most significant metal in the area and averages of 124 g/t (3.6 opt) in those samples ≥ 34 g/t (1.0 opt). A single high sample assayed 2,445 g/t (71.2 opt) Ag. Gold averaged 0.86 g/t (0.025 opt) in those samples ≥ 0.34 g/t (0.01 opt). Zinc and lead averaged 2.14% and 0.96% respectively in those samples ≥ 1000 ppm. In the southern zone, mineralization that appears to be enriched relative to base metals (at the expense of precious metals) is confined to replacement and calc-silicate altered zones within the Pogonip Group Goodwin Limestone. Silver and gold values are of similar grade as the northern zone but are less abundant in number and extent.

Past Work
Historic work at Red Hills identified lead, zinc, and silver breccia pipes and replacements in the Ordovician Pogonip Limestone, in particular near bodies of intrusive rock. Sampling of the Nine Mile Member of the Pogonip by Columbus has yielded numerous anomalous gold values ranging from 0.3 to 1.1 g/t Au (0.008 to 0.03 opt), with little associated lead and zinc. The gold showings are in jasperoid and weakly silicified platy limestone and siltstone of the Nine Mile Member and could represent Carlin-type gold deposits distal to the lead-zinc mineralization. There is no known past drilling on the Red Hills Property.

Planned Program
Columbus Gold is actively seeking a joint venture partner for the Red Hills Property.
