Stage Project
The Stage Property consists of 13 mineral claims, covering approximately 268 acres, located 30 miles north-northeast of Ely, Nevada in the Schell Creek Range. Subject to net smelter returns royalties, Columbus Gold controls a 100% interest in the property.
The property covers a silicified zone (jasperoid) replacing Joana Limestone that is exposed for about 500 feet of strike length. There is very little outcrop in the project area, but a few exposures of unaltered limestone near the jasperoid are tentatively correlated with the Joana Limestone, based on preliminary identification of fossils.
Preliminary sampling indicates the jasperoid is anomalous in gold (high value 0.8 g/tonne Au), arsenic, and antimony. The geochemical values and alteration are typical of Carlin-type gold mineralization elsewhere in Nevada.
Geological mapping and thorough geochemical sampling are planned for the Stage Project.
